GTFP Eligibility for teaching positions and conditions

The Global Teaching Fellowhsip is open to Doctoral Candidates and Recent Doctoral Graduates of Central European University.

Selected Calls are also open to Doctoral Candidates and Recent Doctoral Graduates of CEU's partner institution in CIVICA: Bocconi University (Italy), European University Institute (Italy), Hertie School (Berlin), National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (Romania), Sciences Po in Paris (France), Stockholm School of Economics (Sweden), The London School of Economics and Political Science (UK).

Who can apply:

CEU:

Global Teaching Fellows can have no other work affiliation with CEU during the time of teaching via GTFP nor can not have a CEU write-up grant.

CEU Doctoral Candidates who are in their third year of doctoral studies or beyond, and have the written endorsement of their doctoral supervisor and the director of the doctoral program

Recent Doctoral Graduates who have received a doctoral degree from CEU not earlier than 2 years prior to application for a Global Teaching Fellowship

All Candidates are encouraged to complete the CTL Program for Excellence in Teaching in Higher Education and other courses offered by CTL before taking on a Fellowship.

OSUN:

Doctoral Candidates who are in their third year of doctoral studies or beyond, and have the written endorsement of their doctoral supervisor and the director of the doctoral program.

Recent Doctoral Graduates who have received a doctoral degree from an OSUN member institution not earlier than 2 years prior to application for a Global Teaching Fellowship

In case your Doctoral Studies are not in English, an English language Certificate might be required (Min. TOEFL iBT 110 or equivalent)

CIVICA:

Doctoral Candidates who are in their third year of doctoral studies or beyond, and have the written endorsement of their doctoral supervisor and the director of the doctoral program

Recent Doctoral Graduates who have received a doctoral degree from SNSPA not earlier than 2 years prior to application for a Global Teaching Fellowship

In case your Doctoral Studies are not in English, an English language Certificate might be required (Min. TOEFL iBT 110 or equivalent)

Selection process of GTFP positions:

1. All applications are collected by the GTFP Office at CEU

2. Application documents are shared with the GTFP representatives of the partner institution where the candidate would like to teach

3. The partner instituton appoints a committee, who reviews the documents and conducts interviews

4. The partner institution's representative informs the GTFP Office at CEU, and the applicants about their decision
