OSUN CEU Global Teaching Fellowship Program at the European Humanities University (EHU), Vilnius, Lithuania.

Call for applications for the (whole) academic year 2024/25, or one semester of the academic year, Fall 2024 (from October 2024 - to February 2025), and/or Spring 2025 (from March 2025 to July 2025).

The European Humanities University (EHU) invites applications for Global Teaching Fellowships to teach at EHU, Vilnius, Lithuania.

In the Academic Department of Social Sciences, the successful applicant will teach introductory and advanced courses in the field(s) of Law, Political Sciences and Economics, Sociology and Communication (programmes BA “World Politics and Economics”, BA “Law”, MA “International Law and European Union Law”, BA "Media and Communication", MA "Gender Studies", MA "Public Policy").

In the Academic Department of Humanities and Arts, the successful applicant will teach introductory and advanced courses in the field(s) of Heritage, Design, Theater Art, History and Plastic Art (programs BA “European Heritage”, BA “Visual Design”, BA “Theater Art and Acting”, BA “History”; MA “Visual Plastic Art”, MA “Cultural Heritage Development”).

The program BA “History” will be launched from the 2024/2025 academic year.

Eligible applicants include Ph.D. graduates who, by the beginning of the Fellowship received their Ph.D. degree from the CEU or an OSUN or CIVICA institution and advanced (e.g. ABD all but dissertation) Ph.D. candidates from the institutions mentioned above, in the field of Law/Politics/Sociology/Communication (for teaching in the Academic Department of Social Sciences), or in the field of Heritage/Design/Theater Art/History/Plastic Art (for teaching in the Academic Department of Humanities and Arts).

The successful candidate(s) will teach up to two courses conducted in the English language, which will be set by EHU Academic Department of Social Sciences, or Academic Department of Humanities and Arts in agreement with the Fellow.

The Fellow will also have the possibility to offer one course on his/her special area of expertise, in coordination with EHU Department of Social Sciences or Academic Department of Humanities and Arts.

Candidates should discuss the Syllabus of their specialized course with their supervisor and EHU Department of Social Sciences or Department of Humanities and Arts in advance (prior to the application deadline).

Successful candidates will receive honorarium from EHU of which one-time travel expense (location-Vilnius-location) accommodation, health insurance, and living expenses will be supported.

Successful candidates from non-EU countries should comply with national visa regulations and are strongly advised to contact EHU for more specific information on visa issues and the other bureaucratic aspects of the fellowship.

From OSUN-CIVICA applicants:

  • One Letter of Reference (email or scanned copy, details above),
  • English language proficiency minimum level C1 – if the Ph.D. studies were not in English.
