OSUN CEU Global Teaching Fellowship Program at the European Humanities University (EHU), Vilnius, Lithuania.

Call for applications for AY 2023/2024 (October 2023 - July 2024) or Fall semester 2023 (October 2023 - February 2024)

The European Humanities University (EHU) invites applications for Global Teaching Fellowships to teach at EHU, Vilnius, Lithuania, for one academic year 2023/2024 (October 2023 - July 2024) or the Fall 2023 semester (October 2023 - February 2024). The successful applicant will teach introductory and advanced courses in the field(s) of Law, Political Sciences and Economics (programmes BA “World Politics and Economics”, BA “Law”, MA “International Law and European Union Law”). Descriptions of programmes are uploaded at the bottom of the page.

Eligible applicants include Ph.D. graduates who received their Ph.D. degree from the CEU or CIVICA member institution within the last two years and advanced (e.g. ABD all but dissertation) Ph.D. candidates in the field of  Law and (or) Politics.

The successful candidate(s) will teach up to two courses conducted in the English language, which will be set by EHU Academic Department of Social Sciences, in agreement with the Fellow. The Fellow will also have the possibility to offer one course on his/her special area of expertise, in coordination with EHU Department of Social Sciences. Candidates should discuss the Syllabus of their specialized course with their supervisor and EHU Department of Social Sciences in advance.

Successful candidates will receive an honorarium from EHU by the standard rates for teaching, and additionally, a one-time travel expense (location-Vilnius-location) will be funded.

Successful candidates from non-EU countries should comply with national visa regulations and are strongly advised to contact EHU for more specific information on visa issues and the other bureaucratic aspects of the fellowship.

Applicants who are CEU Ph.D. Candidates at the time of application:

  • Endorsement letter from the Supervisor (email or scanned copy)
  • Endorsement letter from the Head of the Doctoral Program (email or scanned copy)

Applicants who are CEU Ph.D. graduates:

  • One Letter of Reference

From CIVICA applicants:

  • two Letters of Reference (email or scanned copy)
  • English language proficiency minimum level C1 – if the Ph.D. studies were not in English
