OSUN CEU Global Teaching Fellowship Program at the Brac University (BracU), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Call for applications for Fall 2023 semester (September – December 2023 or June 2024) or Spring 2024 semester (January-May 2024) or AY 2324 (September 2023 - June 2024)
The Brac University (BracU) invites applications for Global Teaching Fellowships to teach at BracU, Dhaka, Bangladesh, for Fall 2023 semester (September – December 2023 or June 2024) or Spring 2024 semester (January-May 2024) or AY 2324 (September 2023 - June 2024) . The successful applicant will teach introductory and advanced courses in the field(s) of Social Sciences, Business Sciences, Philosophy, Psychology, Anthropology and Sociology (expertise in the Global South), and Environment and Humanities; Comparative Literature, Human Rights, Social Entrepreneurship; expertise teaching and learning with an opportunity of an additional course in Research Methodology.
Eligible applicants include Ph.D. graduates who received their Ph.D. degree from the CEU or a CIVICA member institution within the last two years and advanced (e.g. ABD all but dissertation) Ph.D. candidates.
The successful candidates will teach up to two courses (see fields above), which will be set by the Institute or Department of BracU, in agreement with the Fellow. The Fellow will also have the possibility to offer one course on his/her special area of expertise, in coordination with the department. The language of instruction is English. Candidates should discuss the Syllabus of their specialized course with their supervisor and the department at BracU in advance.
Successful candidates will receive an honorarium from BracU by the standard rates for teaching at BracU, and additionally, a one-time travel expense (location-Dhaka-location) will be funded separately from the salary.
