Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility: for Academic Staff

Teach Abroad with Erasmus+

Erasmus+ Key Action 1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals gives CEU academic staff the opportunity to spend time teaching at one of our partner universities across Europe and beyond. This is a unique chance to share your expertise, strengthen academic collaboration, and bring fresh perspectives back to CEU.

The program is open to all CEU faculty members with an employment contract, including visiting professors. Teaching visits are arranged in cooperation with partner institutions holding an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, where your contribution becomes part of their regular academic program.

A teaching mobility abroad is more than just delivering classes. It’s about building long-term connections, developing new teaching materials, inspiring students, and preparing the ground for future cooperation between departments and universities. Many colleagues also use the opportunity to develop pedagogical skills and explore innovative approaches to curriculum design.

Funding is available to support travel and living costs during your stay abroad. While the grant is a contribution and may not cover all expenses, your unit may be able to provide additional support.

The program expects not only to enrich your professional skills and teaching practice, but also to contribute to CEU’s international outlook — enhancing collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation across our global academic community.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. If you are interested in taking part, please visit our Erasmus+ page for details on partner universities, funding rules, and the application procedure.
