Erasmus+ Internship Mobility: Application process

STEP 1: Get prepared

  • Devise a strategy for finding an internship. Check CEU's Career Next, Praxis Network or Erasmusintern websites for internship offers  and consult with your Career Services Program Liaison for advice
  • Contact the chosen organization and discuss the terms of your internship
  • Please, note that you have to be accepted as an intern by the chosen organization when you submit the application

STEP 2: Identify your tasks

  • Have the document filled out and signed by the host institution and your home department.

STEP 3: Prepare your application package

  • Fill out the Application Statement, sign and have it signed by your Supervisor/Head of Department and upload it to the Application Platform 
  • Finalize the Before the Mobility section of the Learning Agreement for Traineeship: Contact your Department and the host organization to complete the required information, have the agreement signed by the responsible person at the organization and at CEU. Upload the fully signed Learning Agreement to the Application Platform
  • Write a motivation letter upload it to the Application Platform, providing answers to the following questions:
    • Reasons for choosing the specific internship host organization
    • Description of your planned primary responsibilities during the internship
    • Narrative on how the internship aligns with your career plans
  • Prepare your CV and upload it to the Application Platform

  • Get one recommendation letter from CEU supervisor/lecturer, etc. The letter can be sent via email only by the recommender to erasmus@ceu.edu, with a subject: "Recommendation Letter_Name of the Applicant". Contents of the recommendation letter may include:
    • The applicant's studies, skills, experiences that are relevant for the program
    • Why the applicant is suitable for the program and how can he/she benefit from it
    • Anything outstanding about the applicant, e.g. relevant beyond classroom activities, presentations, publications, previous engagements, experiences, particular talents, etc. 
    • Brief description of the applicant's personal qualities

STEP 4: Submit your application package

  • Fill out and submit the online Application Form on the Application Platform (Application platform will be opened soon)
  • Upload all required documents (make sure to have signed beforehand where necessary)

    • Application Statement
    • Learning Agreement for Traineeship
    • Motivation Letter
    • CV
    • Transcript of Records (Unofficial copy accepted)
  • Make sure that your Letter of Recommendation have been sent to Erasmus@ceu.edu
  • Applications must be submitted not later than February 1, 2019
  • Incomplete and/or e-mailed application forms will not be accepted
  • Late applications will not be considered
  • Applicants will be notified about the application decisions within 5 (five) weeks after the deadline
