ETHICAL RESEARCH

As a research intensive university, CEU values and protects academic freedom while safeguarding ethical principles in research such as respect for persons and their welfare and justice. In accordance with its mission, CEU aims to uphold the highest standards of ethics in its activities including research by the members of the CEU community (students, academic and administrative staff) as well as research supported by CEU (e.g. through research grants, providing facilities, administration, etc.). CEU also aims to ensure that it does not receive or apply for research funding from inappropriate sources. In the case of research co-funded or co-hosted by CEU, ethical research guidelines of the co-funding/co-hosting institution might also apply in addition to the provisions determined by CEU Ethical Research Policy
