Erasmus+ Internship Mobility: Application process

STEP 1: Get prepared

  • Contact the chosen organization and discuss the terms of your internship

STEP 2: Identify your tasks

  • Work on the Learning Agreement for Traineeships together with the host organization
  • Have the document filled out and signed by the host institution.

STEP 3: Prepare your application package

  • Fill out the Application Form on the Application Platform 
  • Fill out the Application Statement, sign and have it signed by your supervisor and upload it to the Application Platform 
  • Prepare the Learning Agreement for Traineeship: contact the host organization to complete the required information, have the agreement signed by the responsible person at the organization and upload it to the Application Platform
  • Write a motivation letter upload it to the Application Platform, providing answers to the following questions:

• Why have you chosen this specific organization?
• Which activities are you planning to undertake? Why?
• How will this internship contribute to your studies at CEU/your future professional life?
• What is the expected outcome of the mobility regarding your career plans?

  • Get one original recommendation letter from CEU supervisor/lecturer, etc. The letter can be directly addressed to CEU Erasmus Office: CEU Academic Cooperation and Research Support Office – Erasmus Office, Nador u. 9, 1051 Budapest. Letters sent by internal mail should be delivered in sealed envelopes with the name of the applicant. Contents of the recommendation letter may include:
    • The applicant's studies, skills, experiences that are relevant for the program
    • Why the applicant is suitable for the program and how can he/she benefit from it
    • Anything outstanding about the applicant, e.g. relevant beyond classroom activities, presentations, publications, previous engagements, experiences, particular talents, etc. 
    • Brief description of the applicant's personal qualities

  • Prepare your CV and upload it to the Application Platform

STEP 4: Submit your application package

  • Fill out and submit the online application form
  • Upload all required documents (make sure to have signed where necessary)

    • Application Statement
    • Learning Agreement for Traineeship
    • Motivation Letter
    • CV
    • Transcript of Records (Unofficial copy accepted)
  • Make sure that you original Letters of Recommendation have been sent to the Erasmus Office
  • Applications must be submitted not later than April 30, 2017
  • Incomplete and/or e-mailed application forms will not be accepted
  • Late applications will not be considered
  • Applicants will be notified about the application decisions within 5 (five) weeks after the deadline
