University of Pécs Global Teaching Fellowship

Within the framework of GTFP, the Faculty of Humanities (BTK) of the university of pécs (UniPécs) in Pécs, Hungary invites applications for the position of GTFP Fellow for the upcoming academic semester.

The position requires teaching one or two courses on undergraduate level in English, in accordance with GTFP regulations. Please read GTFP Guidelines carefully.

UniPécs BTK (h http://english.btk.pte.hu/) offers various programs in international affairs. In this program some courses are available for teaching for GTFP Fellows.

The courses available at the moment are the following:

  • The European Union in the system of international relations
  • The legal status of the individual in the European Union
  • Theories of international relations
  • The European Parliament and its political groups

The syllabi may be adjusted to the expertise of the selected GTFP Fellow.

The call is open to current CEU doctoral candidates beyond their 3rd year of studies and recent doctoral graduates who earned received the PhD-degree in a relevant field of study in the last two academic years. GTFP’s rules and regulations apply.

CEU supports GTFP Fellows teaching at state-funded universities in Hungary with a grant. Please note that in Hungary GTFP does not cover accommodation and health insurance costs, as Fellows are expected to reside in Hungary.

  • motivation letter
  • resume (CV)
  • teaching philosophy (1,000 words)
  • list of the desired course(s)
  • two Letters of Reference (email or scanned copy)

From the academic year 2017/18 the remuneration for teaching two courses at a Hungarian HE institution and continuous PhD research is comparable to CEU's Doctoral Stipends.
