Call for application - University of Debrecen
Within the framework of GTFP, the University of Debrecen Institute of English and American Studies in Hungary invites applications for the Spring 2017 semester for the position of Visiting Teaching Fellow.
The position requires teaching one or two courses on undergraduate level in English. Applicants can choose from the following courses:
- Applied Liguistics
- Cognitive Sciences
- Business English
- Cultural Studies
Applicants intending to teach various subfields of Business English are particularly welcome, as well as prospective instructors of advanced technical writing courses.
Specific course titles will be agreed on with the applicants post-application, and an interview or 60-minute trial teaching may be required for acceptance.
The University of Debrecen allows some flexibility and the syllabi may be adjusted to the expertise of the selected Fellow.
The call is open to current CEU doctoral candidates beyond their 3rd year of studies, and recent doctoral graduates who earned their PhD-degree in a relevant field of study in the last two academic years. GTFP’s rules and regulations apply.
CEU honors GTFP Fellows in Hungary by a reasonable amount. Please note that in Hungary GTFP does not cover accommodation and health insurance costs, as Fellows are expected to reside in the country.

From the academic year 2017/18 the Remuneration for teaching two courses at a Hungarian HE institution and continuous PhD research is comparable to CEU's Doctoral Stipends.
