Call for Applications - AUW

The CEU Global Teaching Fellowship Program at Asian University for Women (AUW) located in Chittagong, Bangladesh, is inviting applications for AY 2020 /2021 for teaching positions in
the Core Curriculum Department, specifically within the Writing Program. The mission of the UG-1 Writing Program is to train students to employ process-based writing as a tool for discovery, creativity, self-reflection, and critical analysis and to engage in ethical practices at all stages of the writing process. To this end, the writing program will provide students with the opportunity to analyze and compose arguments in multiple disciplines and genres. While there are common objectives across all Writing Seminars, the fellows can shape the content of the Seminar according to their own interests and training (e.g history, anthropology, media studies, cultural studies). The call is suitable for Doctoral Candidates / PhD graduates in Social Sciences and Humanities.

Eligibility: CEU doctoral candidates beyond their 3rd year of studies and doctoral graduates who have earned their PhD no earlier than 2018 and have expertise in any of the areas listed above.

Fellows who will have not received the PhD by the beginning of AY 2020/21 can teach maximum two courses/semester. Those who already have the PhD might be required to teach 3 courses/semester. CEU Global Teaching Fellows are also expected to contribute to the academic life of the community, advise students and participate in talks and other departmental activities.

The application should include:

 - Motivation letter (please indicate what courses you could teach);

 - CV;

 - Teaching philosophy (1,000 words)

 - Two Letters of Reference;

-  Endorsement from the department if the applicant has not received the PhD (email of support from the head of doctoral studies).
